Here are some photos of some of our recent activities:

Camping Trip

Over the summer a bunch of us went to some property for a campout. On the way there we had to go under a tree that had fallen over. The car could barely make it under the tree and we were a little worried we wouldn't make it back out but everything worked out great. We had a great hike and got to go on a zip line. Thank you to everyone who came. We especially appriciated having Cory with us on this trip.

Climbing with the Varsity and Venture Scouts

The Venture and Varsity scouts went rock climbing in Rock Canyon, Provo, UT.

Orienteering with the Varsity Scouts

The Varsity Scouts learned how to use a compass to navigate and how to use a compass to measure distances across a stream. Todd was the master distance measurer and was only 8 inches off! Rayden found a sweet Easter egg while Todd and Casey tested out the see-saw. Then we had a rocking good time learning how to geocache using GPS. We found two caches pretty close to the church. Casey had the eagles eyes and saw both of them first.

No YM This Tuesday

Because of Spring Break, there will be no YM's activity this Tuesday, April 12. Whether you are going out of town, or staying here: Have a good one!

General Conference Jeopardy!

Well it is that time again. . . . Time to compete in the ultimate contest of strength, stamina, and willpower: General Conference Jeopardy. In October, the young men nearly broke the young women's winning streak. It came down to a nail-biter. This time the young men are hungry for victory.

Don't forget to read over your notes from conference. On Sunday we will be meeting in the young women's room for our show-down.

Young Men - Mini Golf Tonight

The Young Men will be meeting at the Church tonight at 6:30pm for mini golf at Trafalga. If you happen to have a pass please bring it along to help save on cost and if not no worries. Come enjoy the fun!

ROCK BAND!

On Tuesday we will be having a Rock Band fest! Meet at the Church at 7:00 like normal. We will have our opening and then head to Bro. Simmonds house to rock!

Sledding Activity

This week is our combined activity for the week. We go sledding on Saturday afternoon. Meet at the church at 1:00 pm in warm clothes and with your favorite sled. We will be having hot chocolate and treats (donuts, anyone?) and driving to the great sledding hill at Peteetneet Academy in Payson.

On Tuesday night, we will be meeting at 7:00 like normal. All the young men will be playing basketball together and getting our schedule for the YM stake basketball tournament!

Klondike 2011

You have all received a packing list from your leaders. Remember, snow camping is a lot of fun, IF you're prepared. So don't forget anything form the list. Dress in multiple layers of clothing, (for example, a layer of long john thermal underwear, then a layer of sweats, and then a layer of snow pants = very warm). The other trick is to stay dry. A dry scout is a warm scout.

For dinner we are going to be making tin foil dinners. Yum. Don't forget to bring water and a water bottle to drink.
